Last night’s Opportunity Green party in NY drew quite the crowd of eco-driven, yet stylish, creatives and entrepreneurs. The event was held at the spacious and tasteful NY showroom for Environment Furniture, an impressive collection of modern pieces made solely of reclaimed and sustainably harvested materials. Opportunity Green is a sustainability conference that is a must-attend event for socially and environmentally conscience business leaders and innovators. The conference will be held the first week of November in Los Angeles.

I happened to run into one of my clients, for whom we are creating a wedding gown consisting in part of trims and embroidery we recycled from her mother’s wedding dress, originally worn in the 70s. Molly is the driving force behind Project Earth Day, an annual fashion show in NY promoting green design.
