Core 77 Dutch Master
With the weather finally cooperating, summer in NY has been what it should be – free outdoor concerts abound, skimpy lightweight attire revealing tanned and/or tattooed bodies, and bike riding as the main mode of transportation.
My friends at Core 77 just introduced a limited-edition custom bike perfect for the times, the Dutch Master, a play on Dutch-style bicycles and the cigars of the same name. This beauty consists of all premium components, mostly sourced from the US: a fine blend of workhorse elements like the Worksman frame (made in Queens by the company that developed the first bike-driven food vendor carts and delivery bicycle frames), to the sexy Dapper Dan grips made with care by longtime cyclists Portland Design Works, to hard-core BMX parts including pegs! Each bicycle is being assembled by hand here in Brooklyn at the Bushwick Bike Shop. Be sure to check the site for specs, photos, and more.
Core 77 presented the bike at the Soho Apple Store on Saturday, followed by a kickin’ party at the recently opened Ace Hotel NY. Get one of these stylish rides while they are still available!
