    I am confused. Awareness about the environment includes wild life, plant life etc.

    Feathers come from birds, and promotes poaching in various ways.

    It is disturbing you support this resource for fashion.

    Maybe it would help to try to connect the dots better.

    Ginny, I appreciate your concern. In response, my comment about feathers was in jest due to the Thanksgiving holiday. (I imagine you eat tofurkey if you celebrate the day?)

    And just so you know, I have never used fur or feathers in my designs. However, in reporting fashion trends, an objective of this blog, I have to report on the use of all materials.

    While I attempt to incorporate environmentally-friendly products and practices into my work and life as much as possible, “the lady in green” refers to the colour, not the over-hyped use of “green” as meaning sustainable.
