CoUtuRE: Celebrating Couture for the Cure
I am honored to announce my participation as a selected designer in the San Francisco Design Center’s CoUtuRE: Celebrating Couture for the Cure event this July.
The event benefits The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate, raising money for breast cancer education, treatment and research. This year’s show will showcase 20 designer creations in black, white and shades of pink to celebrate Komen’s 20th anniversary. These outfits will be modeled by breast cancer survivors and other supporters of the cause.
Tickets on sale in June. Save the date:
July 27, 2007 / 6-9PM / San Francisco Design Center Galleria: 101 Henry Adams St.
I have been paired with the fabulous European Showroom Brunschwig & Fils, who will graciously donate the materials for my design. I spent a morning browsing through their massive library of materials to make my selection of fine silks and other fabrics, all within the event’s colour palette of black, white and shades of pink.
